Hey Stranger - Week 3
SAWYER'S TYPING...
This week we went over the elements and principles of design. Having taken multiple art classes in the past, I'm pretty familiar with them. Though, It was nice to go over everything again and to have a refresher. The project for this week was another video done in Adobe Express. This one was more about editing photos as well as continuing to work on creating video presentations. I chose to edit pictures of my snake. I thought I'd keep it on theme with the previous project and who knows, perhaps Sev will be a recurring guest in my projects.
I've been really enjoying this art class so far, it's nice to have projects that are interactive. Most of the classes I've taken have usually been centered around discussion posts or essays. Which is fine and I usually manage to get them done even if I find them to be a little difficult. Having a class that has seemingly weekly interactive assignments where I get to create something, even if it's just a short video showcasing something, is really nice. It makes me excited for future assignments.
Another thing that interested me this week was the video on John F. Simon Jr. Having both an interest in programming/computer as well as physical or traditional art and seeing them meshed together in his work was really fascinating. The versatility and the creativity that artists display never cease to amaze me. I continuously find new or different forms and representations of art and it makes me fall in love with art a little bit more every time. Having moments like that shows me that I really do have an interest in art. Often times I feel lost with my passions and what I want to do, but these classes and the showcasing of artists always seem to inspire me or have me in awe. It makes me excited for the future of art and my place within the art world.
